Peck Elementary is a small, rural, multi-grade schoolhouse, built in the 1950's, to service the students of Peck and surrounding communities. We serve students in Kindergarten-6th grade. Our school benefits from a variety of organizations, clubs, foundations, and grants, which provide many up-to-date resources allowing us to develop projects that cross all curriculum and age groups. We give back to our community, our elders, veterans, and ourselves through a variety of community service projects.
Our mission is to create a learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through appropriate instruction, while recognizing individual differences and learning styles. We promote a safe, caring, supportive, educational environment. Our students are constantly involved in activities promoting self-esteem, respect for others, respect for their school, team spirit, and tolerance. Each month we celebrate a different culture through a variety of educational activities and a hot lunch, in order to better understand the world around us. The school and community work together to enrich the education of the students and the lives of the people in our community.
We keep our program aligned with state and national standards through collaborative planning and utilizing as many resources as possible. If we are not aware of a program, we cannot find solutions; therefore, we encourage open communication between staff, students, and parents at all times.
We celebrate the success of our students, the involvement of our community, and that our students are responsible for their choices and actions.
